The g-team's touch team is the makeup of a bunch of mates who share a common love of alcohol and having a bit of fun. Who are they? Adam, Brendo, Benji, Cam, Danman, Davo, Kyle, Joshy, Yeatsie and Yank.
When
The boys joined Premier Touch in the Spring 2008 season and faced a stiff learning curve with most of the team having never played touch before, let alone rugby league. We finished the season without a win but improved every week to the point where the team decided to forge forward and nominate for the Summer 2008/2009 season
Our second season was a massive improvement over our first efforts, finishing the competition with 4 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws. This placed us in 5th position and after grading was completed, allowed The G-Team to win the Mens C grand final! The team was invited to play the Battle of the Titans, in which we competed but the competition proved too tough for us finishing the day with 3 losses and alot of new experience. We also recurited a new player, Giffo, who gave a great contribution to the team over the season.
This upcoming Autumn 2009 season marks a new era in our team losing Joshy and Giffo to rugby league commitments. We have got a new player in the form of Ryan, Yeats workmate who we've all bonded with over the last few year or so. With the season due to kick off on April 22nd, the team are excited to get back on the field and improved their game further!
